MARY, UNDOER OF KNOTS NOVENA - DAY 8

Peace be with you!

For some, suffering doesn't end with death.

Some souls suffer in Purgatory as they go through a purification before entering the Kingdom of Heaven.

Let's pray for all souls who suffer in Purgatory.

May Mary, Undoer of Knots, intercede for them.

Here are the prayers for today:
Day 8 - The Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots
Virgin Mother of God, overflowing with mercy, have mercy on your child and undo this knot [mention your request here] in my life.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exist in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exists in my life.  You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots. Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the evil one himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone. Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.
[Mention your request here]
I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all. You are my hope.
O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains. Hear my plea. Keep me, guide me, protect me, o safe refuge!
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Amen.

POSITIVE THOUGHTS

Posted: 25 Apr 2016 06:16 PM PDT

1.  Look at life as a journey and enjoy the ride.  Get the most out of the detours and realize they're sometimes necessary.

2.  Do your best, but if what you're doing has caused you discouragement, try a different approach.  Be passionate about the process, but don't be so attached to the outcome.

3.  Wish the best for everyone, with no personal strings attached.  Applaud someone else's win as much as you would your own.

4.  Trust that there's a divine plan, that we don't always know what's best for us.  A disappointment now could mean a victory later, so don't be disappointed.  There is usually a reason.

5.  Ask no more of yourself than the best that you can do, and be satisfied with that.  Be compassionate towards yourself as well as others.  Know your calling, your gift, and
do it well.

6.  Don't worry about something after it's done; it's out of your hands then, too late, over!  Learn the lesson and move on.

7.  Have the attitude that no one, except you, owes you anything.  Give without expecting a thank-you in return.  But when someone does something for you, be appreciative of even the smallest gesture.

8.  Choose your thoughts or your thoughts will choose you; they will free you or keep you bound.  Educate your spirit and give it authority over your feelings.

9.  Judge no one, and disappointment and forgiveness won't be an issue.  No one can let you down if you're not leaning on them.  People can't hurt you unless you allow them to.

10.  Love anyway. . . for no reason. . . and give. . . just because.

JOHN 14:27 PEACE I LEAVE YOU ....

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

jesus gave these words to his Disciples before departing from their last supper together. His reasoning was: If I go away, and then come back to you, then you will believe all my words to you are true.

Jesus did, in fact, come again after he had been buried in the tomb for three days. He tells the disciples who met him on the road that he had been to hell to fight the prince of the earth, Satan. Jesus obviously won this battle and soon after this, he was taken body and soul to heaven by God, the Father.

It is not just the above words that Jesus left to us. There are many, many words throughout the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John. Of course, these are my favorite books of the Bible for they have so much teaching from Jesus, himself.  It is not the only books I read, but they are my favorite.

Since you KNOW that Jesus rose after the three days from his crucifixion, why do you not believe that he can do anything you ask for. "Can" is one thing; "doing" is another. For Jesus cannot and does not do anything that the Father and he feel you do not need. Or, they have to take time to make things happen in order to perfect your life.

Another teaching is to call upon The Holy Spirit to live in your heart. And since you know The Holy Spirit is there to guide you, why do you not call on him to guide you in every step of your life?  If you ask him to guide you, then you must listen to your heart in all matters before making decisions. Just ask, "Come Holy Spirit and guide me through this trial. Help me to know the right choice to make."

Without all parts of the Holy Trinity working within you, you cannot lead a perfectly happy life, making good choices, and worshipping the Holy Trinity is key.

Also key is saying the Rosary. Our Holy Mother will intercede for you to her son, Jesus. Who would better have an effect on her son that a Mother?

Lastly, you have your Patron Saints and praying to them also for your specific needs means you have one more person to plead your prayers to God, the Father.

I pray for each of you that you will learn these simple to remember places where you can obtain comfort, guidance and answers to your prayers. God with God and remember the above verse.

Lovingly in Jesus,
ABBEY♥

Some of the most tangled knots that exist in the world are ones that come from discord in families, the dissolution of families, and a lack of understanding and compassion between family members.

Today, let's pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary will untie the knot of conflict within and between families. Let's pray for reconciliation and forgiveness.

MARY, UNDOER OF KNOTS NOVENA - DAY 3

Peace be with you!

Many of the knots in our lives are caused by sin, but Mary can untie the knot of sin -- she does it by her faith and prayers for us.

As Saint Irenaeus said, "The knot of Eve's disobedience was untied by the obedience of Mary; what the virgin Eve bound by her unbelief, the Virgin Mary loosened by her faith."

Today, let's pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary may, by the grace of God, untie the knot of sin in our hearts and in the world.

Here are the prayers for today:
Day 3 - The Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots
(Audio/Video Version)
Meditating Mother, Queen of heaven, in whose hands the treasures of the King are found, turn your merciful eyes upon me today. I entrust into your holy hands this knot in my life [mention your request here] and all the rancor and resentment it has caused in me.
JOHN 14:7-14

Jesus said to his disciples: “If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
But poor Phillip doesn't quite understand what Jesus was telling his Disciples. So he probes further and asks of Jesus, "Master, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." But Jesus' response was to tell him once again that whoever has seen him [Jesus], has also seen the Father, because he and the Father are one, the Father is in Jesus and Jesus is in the Father.

Let's think about this a bit. These were very special times when Jesus walked the earth. Think of all the people who personally heard his preaching, or saw him walking with his Disciples and others from town to town, and the crowds that grew larger and larger due to the word passing from place to place about him.

People were naturally curious, but I believe Jesus won more souls that he lost. Or did he lose any? Who knows?

We are like Phillip.  We long to see the Father, and because we did not live in Biblical times, we also long to see Jesus!

FAITH! Believing in something that you have not yet seen. There are billions of people around the world who believe in Jesus and in the Father. Yet we have not seen them.

Arriving at a faith-built life is so difficult to explain that I won't even try. I can only tell you that you need to read the Gospels in the Bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each of the storytellers has selected specific events of their personal knowledge and the audience they wish to reach. These books do not come close to telling ALL of the things that Jesus did while here on earth. I'm sure it is a long and wide story, and we will know it when we see him in Heaven.

So I suggest you begin with the four Gospels and learn as much as they offer about Jesus. You can then make a choice: faith or no faith?

Jesus made hundreds of statements about the afterlife and that of his Father and his Kingdom. He earnestly built his evangelism around all souls going to Heaven. I can attest to the fact that a life lived by the Word [the Bible], quiet, daily prayers to both Jesus and the Father, and then living with the thoughts of "what would Jesus do?" when a decision faces you or calamity comes down upon you.

Have FAITH in Jesus! BELIEVE he is real! He has already told us that NONE of us will see the Father except through him. Worship, honor, love, and respect Jesus! He gains the most satisfaction out of a soul saying, "I love you, Jesus!" It is so simple to lead a Christian life, yet so many turn away. I believe some are afraid of what they will find. But, if only they knew the benefits of a Christian life, if only we can get through to as many as possible, the glory of the graces from God are unsurmountable!

I have never had a happier life than the one that I am living now, for Jesus. I love and respect him. I ADORE him. You can have all that I have, too. If you need a little guidance, go to your bedroom alone, get down on your knees beside your bed, and as Jesus to please come into your life and heart and help you from this time forward. Ask him for his guidance through The Holy Spirit coming into your heart also. Praise him about all the good things that you do have, and know that those things are infinitely available to you. Jesus is a 24/7 working soul! He's always there, so stop your sinful ways and call on Jesus to help you turn away whenever you are tempted. You will see, I promise you, just what Jesus can do for you! AMEN!

Lovingly in Jesus Christ,
ABBEY

MARY, UDOER OF KNOTS NOVENA - DAY 2

Peace be with you!

When the knots in our lives become so tangled, it is easy to think that they cannot be undone, but Pope Francis tells us not to think this way.

He said, "It is a mistake to say anything of the sort! All the knots of our heart, every knot of our conscience, can be undone... Even the most tangled knots are loosened by His grace."

Today, let's pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary will untie the knot of contraception in our culture. Let's especially pray for an end to abortion.

Here are the prayers for today:

MARY, UNDOER OF KNOTS NOVENA

We all have some “knots” in our lives… and Mary can untie them!
Mary Undoer of Knots Novena
The devotion to Mary, Undoer of Knots has become more popular ever since Pope Francis encouraged the devotion in Argentina, and then spoke about it during his first year as pontiff.
The theology of the devotion actually goes back to the second century. Saint Irenaeus wrote that, “The knot of Eve’s disobedience was untied by the obedience of Mary; what the virgin Eve bound by her unbelief, the Virgin Mary loosened by her faith.”
Mary’s faith unties the knot of sin!
So we will pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary will intercede for us all, to untie the knots of sin in our lives – so that we may be purified and ever closer to God.
We will start praying this novena on April 22nd this year! (2015)

Daily Opening Prayers:

  1. Begin each day of the Novena to Mary, Undoer of Knots, with the Sign of the Cross.
  2. Make an Act of Contrition. You can use any form; simply ask God to pardon your sins and make a firm purpose of amendment not to commit them again.
  3. Optional, but recommended: Pray the first three decades of the Rosary, with the appropriate mysteries for the day: Joyful (Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays of Advent, and Sundays from Epiphany until Lent), Luminous (Thursdays), Sorrowful (Tuesdays, Fridays, and daily from Ash Wednesday until Easter), Glorious (Wednesdays & Sundays).
  4. Make the meditation for the particular day (as follows).
  5. Pray Closing Prayers below.
[Closing prayers will appear here each day.]
