Responsorial Psalm 19:8-11 - The Precepts of the Lord

Responsorial Psalm Ps 19:8, 9, 10, 11

R. (10cd) The judgments of the Lord are true, and all of them are just.
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
R. The judgments of the Lord are true, and all of them are just.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
The command of the LORD is clear,
enlightening the eye.
R. The judgments of the Lord are true, and all of them are just.
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
The ordinances of the LORD are true,
all of them just.
R. The judgments of the Lord are true, and all of them are just.
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
Sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.
R. The judgments of the Lord are true, and all of them are just.

Today's Responsorial Psalm describes the LORD most understandably.  His laws are perfect, and they should be refreshing to your soul. For any decree coming from our Lord is completely trustworthy and understood even by the simplest mind.

The precepts of the Lord should cause a rejoicing in your hearts! For we know that the Lord is good and just and never lies to us. If we  truly concentrate on the Lord throughout our days, we will be enlightened beyond belief. And You will be surprised at what you will see!

Have you even thought about how pure your fear of the Lord is? Is there anyone you know whom you fear where that fear if pure? Only the Lord can offer you the purest of fear, which is altogether differing from earthly fears. Therefore, the ordinances of the Lord are true and all of them just.

The ordinances of the Lord are more precious that a heap of gold! And ooh the sweetness; more so than syrus or honey from the honeycomb. This is the state of Grace in which we all are striving to live.

God is good, and this is Psalm describes the things of the Lord which we need to embrace. By doing so, will will live happier lives, knowing that the Lord is looking over us. Pray for each Grace that you need, and the Lord will bless you.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
