I have been studying scripture in Genesis 27-28 regarding how it came to pass that Jacob had his dream of a ladder from heaven from and to which angels and such came and went.

There was much discourse in the region at that time, and discourse came between Esau and his brother, Jacob, over a blessing their father, Isaac. He had sent Esau to kill venison or even a lamb, as his mother asked, because Isaac was very old and blind. He promised Esau to give him a special blessing if he returned with the meat Isaac, his father, so favored.

However, Jacob arrived first with the lambs he had slain as a gift to Isaac. He was in fear that Isaac would know by touching him that he was not his son, Esau. But nevertheless, Isaac gave Jacob the special blessing. This became a bone of contention between Esau and Jacob, so Isaac sent Jacob away
Genesis 28:3-8 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;
And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.
And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughers of Canaan;
And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.

Last night while sleeping, I dreamt vividly about Jacob's ladder. I was lying prostrate praising God as all of the, what seemed like, thousands of people were doing. When I realized where I was, I no fear, no doubts - I was in heaven and I was joyfully praising our Loving God. I dared to turn my face to my right and saw the bottom of a glowing white robe ascending the stairs. I dared not look up, but I knew that it was Jesus!

There were thousands of Angels, sweet little angels who were so happy all of the time. I want to be happy all of the time one day. I want to be happy while here on earth. Nothing will be happy without Jesus and the Father.

Dreams like these are the best, and since I have had so much turmoil going on within myself for some time, the dream did much to soothe my soul.

I believe, I trust, I love, I have faith. I, too, want all the blessings heaven can rain down upon me, to be chosen as worthy for this place.

Lovingly in Jesus Christ,
