This Day's Thought from The Ranch
God’s infinitude places him so far above our knowing that a lifetime spent in cultivating the knowledge of him leaves as much yet to learn as if we had never begun.
A. W. Tozer

This Day's Verse
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait?  My hope is in you.”
Psalm 39:7
The English Standard Version

This Day's Smile
The place to be happy is here;
The time to be happy is now;
The way to be happy is to make others so.

Since the beginning of time, people from the lowly man to the best scholars in this world have tried to figure out just what God is thinking, and most commonly, when Jesus will come again, which Jesus doesn't even know the day or time.  God is so infinite, how do you think he thought of each and every tree, bush, rock, mountain, stream, fish, insect all the way to creating the intricate human being if he were not all and infinitely intelligent. We are so far beneath Him in intelligence that it is useless to try and unravel His thinking. The only think about God that you need worry about is that you are in good favor with him, that you love him honestly through your heart, and that you practice a life of His commandments in order to reach the pie in the sky called Heaven and live there for all eternity. You have two choices, the horrific pain of burning in hades for all eternity, or living in a paradise where all is beautiful and well, and you see our Jesus regularly walking and talking to others, and to you! You are reunited with your loved ones who have gone before you! Wouldn't that be a great reunion? Do not take these things lightly. God is very stern, and He has set about placing his only begotten Son on this earth and then watching Him brutally die FOR YOU AND EVERYONE FOR SINS FOR ALL TIME! Do you think God's heart was breaking? That's a no-brainer! If it were your son, how would you feel, except you would not know that end of the story as God did.

"For God so loveth the world that He gave His only begotten son so that you shall live!"

Jesus sits comfortably next to His and our Father God and is helping him about the business of running heaven and earth, hearing prayers, answering them, determining which will receive a miracle, and so forth. I am sure he finds time to play with the children, and all of the aborted babies fly about as His special angels.  He IS the beginning and the end.

Do not be afraid, do not be a fool. Follow him and receive all the riches that heaven has to offer to you, namely, your Salvation!! Hallelujah!

Lord God, send down your Holy Spirit to touch the lives of those who are hurting, those who are homeless, the unborn who are being murdered, the soldiers far away from home and their families, for peace throughout the earth, Sanctify my heart and my life and help me to live in your footsteps all the way to heaven, Help me to be kind to my neighbor, to strangers, to help those begging for food. Make in me a pure spirit, a spirit of happiness in your beautiful love, hope in your promises, and TRUST in all that you do for us. Be a lamp unto my feet and show me your way. Amen.
