Perhaps one reason God delays his answer to our prayers is because He knows we need to be with Him far more than we need the things we ask of Him.
Ben Patterson

I'm glad that the author, Ben Patterson, used the word "perhaps" at the beginning of this quote because it is really much more than perhaps.  We know, or I've been trying to tell you so it might sink in, that WE WILL NEVER KNOW NOR UNDERSTAND THE MIND OF GOD! Why do people constantly try to figure Him out?
Think of it, how complex a being must have been to have created all of the things that God has created. Ba-Zillions of things from the Universe, to the Galaxies, to the Black holes, to the planets and to earth, and finally, to man.  Man in and of himself is a very complex creature. Do you follow a grasshopper around to see where he goes and what he does to learn about how God created this small creature? Of course not!  Another one of those things that many take for granted. I don't have to know where Mr. Grasshopper went when he left my house; I know that God created him for a purpose, and as surely as the human purpose is failing, the animal chain continues as it always has.
The delays in the answers to our prayers are for one reason - God waits until we have completely committed ourselves to the trust and faith in him that His answer requires. He also has to work many things through many other people in our lives in order for our prayers to be answered. I've said (tongue in cheek) that God's answering of a prayer is like the sixth degree of separation - it affects more than just you!!
We all need more time with God. It is going to become more and more of a necessity in our lives as time goes on. The world turmoil is spreading, and many innocents will die. It will be terribly distressing and we will NEED Jesus and God more than we have ever needed them. And if you want them to be there for you, then you best be there for them NOW FORWARD!
God does answer prayers, but the answers He feels are right for you might not be what you feel is right. Remember that old saying: "You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you need!" God sees to it. God sees the bigger picture and he knows what is best, so trust in him, offer him your prayer and give him time to work it out.

THEN, Praise and Glory unto God! Thankfulness and Gratitude abound!!

God bless you, dearest ones. You are always on my lips and in my heart.

Good day, my dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus Christ. The following is a synopsis of 1 Thessalonians, authored by the Apostle, Paul in the year A.D. 50 or 51 in Corinth. Apostles Paul, Silas and Timothy, you will find, had the greatest devotion to continue the church of Jesus Christ, for they had the greatest love in the world for Him and his ministry, the Father-God, and the Holy Spirit. They also loved their fellow man greatly.

In Paul's letter, he offers that "we" [Paul, Silas and Timothy] are very thankful to God and pray for the Thessalonians who have accepted their teachings of Jesus being the Son of God and that they are now a constantly praying people.
He says that God had chosen them and remarks that they accepted the words of mere men, the word of truth about the Good News that they had bestowed upon their listeners. Thus, the Thessalonians became followers of the three Apostles, and received the word of The Holy Spirit with love and great joy.
As it is in life today, of which this blog is just one example, word began to spread to other Christians as far as Greece and other places. This comes from the people talking to other people and expressing all that they had learned about Jesus and God from the Disciples of Jesus. [This is how you, too, can bring more souls to Christ. Talk openly of your faith and of the teachings of Jesus and his Disciples. Who knows how many people will change their hearts and turn to Jesus because of your words?]
Paul, Silas and Timothy had suffered greatly when they took their ministry to Philippi, yet they had the courage to continue their ministry to others, even when surrounded by their enemies. [Do you have enough faith in our Father-God to teach and never denounce Jesus Christ as our Savior and God as our Father in the midst of horrible persecution?]
The Apostles never once tried to teach the people through flattery, nor wanted money for their ministry. They were chosen by God for their purpose in life, their ministry to continue even after the death and resurrection of Christ. They genuinely loved the people and not only gave them the Word of God, but their very lives also.
They worked hard alongside the people to earn enough money to survive; they spoke to them as a father would his own child(ren)  They encouraged them constantly to stay the course, and even demanded that the way they lived their lives should never embarrass God, whom, after all, had invited them all to share in his Glory and His Kingdom.
All suffered the churches of Judea, including their own people. People were executed for being a Christian, and Christ was crucified for his gentle teachings of the Way of the Word "They are against both God and man!".  The Apostles were persecuted as the church feared their preaching, and when they were eventually forced out, the sin among the people who were not Christians continued to spread and grow rapidly.
Paul tried over and over to return to Thessalonica, but somehow, satan continued to block his path and he was terribly frustrated and worried about the people. Thus, he sent Timothy to find out how the people were doing. Were they still following the Apostles' preaching or had they returned to their sinful ways.
Paul finally hears from Timothy that the people have not only continued in the way of their lives which was preached to them, but also, their faith and goodness had grown immensely. This was an extreme relief to Paul.
God has spoken many times in The Bible about sinfulness and the many ways of sin.  But He strongly encourages and wants each of us to be pure and clean of sin so that we may enter the gates of heaven.  He wants to see your heart full with The Holy Spirit, you living your life spreading His Word, and living as an example so that others can see the beautiful life that comes from loving God, the Son, and The Holy spirit, and following his commandments.
We are to love all people, and even love more strongly those who are not Christians, encouraging them all to stay on the narrow path to Salvation.  We are to live "quiet lives, minding your own business, and doing your own work..."
As for meeting the Lord at the Second Coming, if you are alive, you will not be the first gathered by Christ to go to heaven. No, those who are dead, but were believers, will be taken from their graves to heaven first, and then Christ will take those of us who are living and practicing the purity of lives that God commanded. And all will live in the safe haven of God's Kingdom.
No one knows the day, nor the hour in which the Lord will come again. So, we are to remain on our guard, stay sober and watch for the Lord.  We are not children of the darkness and night; we are children of the light and the day.  Paul also mentions that the nighttime is when most drunkenness occurs, so stay sober! What would you do if the Lord returned and you, a Christian, were in a state of drunkenness? You might be "left behind" and none of us wants that. It would be horrid!
As far as prophesy, we are to test everything we are told, and if it rings true, then accept it. Be mindful and keep away from all sin.
And Paul says in Chapter 5, Verse 23: "May the Good of peace himself make you entirely pure and devoted to God; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept strong and  blameless until that day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes back again," What a beautiful prayer! And it ends, "27 I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter to all the Christians. 28And may rich blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, every one."
For me, Paul's letter emanates the greatest love, and was a joy to read his letter to the Church of Thessolonica. It reaffirms what has been passed down through all the ages about the Love of Jesus Christ and the Father-God. The words of encouragement and warnings lay out a perfect map in which everyone could and will live for the rest of their/our lives.  No matter what happens in this world, Jesus Christ and God will ALWAYS exist and watch over each one of us.  Be aware of the warnings to remain sinless, to speak of Christ to others in an effort to turn their hearts heavenward.  Living a simple life does not mean you have to live as a pauper, it simply means stick to the basics of God, Family, Church, Employment, and then everything else is below those four things. Love your brother and, even if he doesn't love you, love him harder!  Be ever mindful of God's many Graces and praise and glorify Him every day.
I am praying that all who read this will be encouraged to open your hearts to The Holy Spirit, to read about Jesus and God and all the promises of Heaven. You won't find a better read anywhere!

These are my opinions formed after reading 1 Corinthians 1:18-31, and subsequent research on the topic contained in the aforementioned scripture.

The world is in CHAOS! God denies those who value power and money over the acknowledgement of His Son, who went through the most horrid of deaths for ALL people, for ALL time.

Many leaders have become sucked into their fame, fortunes, news articles about themselves to the point that they are under the spell of their outer knowledge and have forgotten their inner knowledge. I'll give you some examples:
  • Hewlett-Packard CEO Mark Hurd resigned for submitting false expense reports concerning his relationship with a contractor.
  • US Senator John Ensign (R-NV) resigned after covering up an extramarital affair with monetary payoffs.
  • Lee B. Farkas, former chairman of giant mortgage lender Taylor, Bean & Whitaker, in April was found guilty for his role in one of the largest bank fraud schemes in American history.
  • Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former head of the International Monetary Fund and a leading French politician, was arraigned on charges of sexual assault.
  • David Sokol, rumored to be Warren Buffett's successor, was forced to resign for trading in Lubrizol stock prior to recommending that Berkshire Hathaway purchase the company.
Many leaders lose their way, but not because they are bad people. Many succumb to the prestige, the money, the power, and they end up engaging in unacceptable behavior, many caught and lose everything. God handles these things in His own way.

While most people value fair compensation for their accomplishments, few leaders start out seeking only money, power, and prestige. Along the way, the rewards—bonus checks, newspaper articles, perks, and stock appreciation—fuel increasing desires for more.

World leaders have lost their way and they don't know themselves or even those close to them. What a lonely life at the top. Many are so charismatic that people look to them to LEAD them to a better life in a better world.  But that is not what is happening.  Our world is in chaos because leaders, from world leaders, to leaders in big companies and small companies, to leaders in communities have lost their way. To the public, they blame their failures on others and give promise after promise that they will make it right, but especially in our country, POTUS has led us down the road into nowhere. He is sliding like an angel out of office and will receive a huge pension and free healthcare for life, not to mention also being guarded 24/7 by the Secret Service, and WE, AMERICANS, will pay for it.

What do you think of Hilary Clinton? What do you feel about the news of corruption and greed that comes almost daily in the news.  She told a poor man who tried to take her picture, "GO TO THE END OF THE LINE!"  She appears heartless, attacking her campaign with a vengeance and stepping on anyone who gets in the way. Does she attend church?  Does she read her Bible and pray everyday? It would appear not from her behavior thus far in her Presidential campaign. If it is true, and I believe it is, if you are a Christian and live with The Holy Spirit in your heart, guiding you daily, people will recognize it! Personally, I'm not seeing it. And the foolish are falling all over her. Read on!

The message of Christ's crucifixion on the cross is looked upon as foolish or false by the foolish of the world, and in God's plan they will perish.  But, to those who are wise, we recognize and believe in the purpose and the result of God's allowing his Son to perish - SALVATION.  The Jews wanted powerful signs and the Greeks, or Gentiles, looked for wisdom. They could not find a way to simply BELIEVE.

The fools of the world would be brought down by the wisdom of God. And the fools who preached the gospel were saved by God.  This was true then and it is true today. Think of when you were called to the foot of the cross. Many of you were not wise, born of influential status, nor rich. But do you recognize the rewards of a life dedicated to the Glory of Christ and the Father-God? When I found my way to the foot of the cross, my whole world changed. My outlook is happier, I live to serve and serve to live. It is a service of great LOVE.

"He [God] chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not -- to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him." (1 Corinthians 1:28-29)

It is because of Him that you live in Christ Jesus, our wisdom of God - i.e., "our righteousness, our holiness and our redemption."  And therefore, he who boasts, boasts only before God.

To everyone, my BIC/SIC on Twitter, this blog is for you! It is meant to influence your souls to turn to Jesus Christ, and by doing so, it is a definite that your worries will decrease if you pray daily and give your all to God and then leave it with Him.  It is your praise and affection for Christ that brings that fullness of deep love within you, which breeds great happiness.

Please, follow me. I am on the narrow path of cool earth, following the footsteps of Jesus to my eternal reward, and I want to see and meet each of you there one day. May you be blessed!

This wish says it all for every minute, hour, and day of our lives! Why is Monday the "new beginning"? I suppose because Sunday is a day of rest in the Lord and a day where we gather as many or a few to praise God.  This is an essential element to our daily living as God's people, we are Christians!  Worshiping with others is so comforting and up-lifting. You may not realize it at the moment, but every person worshiping is drawing more and more strength in their salvation through the praising of God as a group. That is the great importance of attending Mass! A group has gathered for one purpose - to praise and Glorify God in HIS HOUSE! And we know that in return, God will always take care of his flock, including YOU!

I am guilty. People dwell on the past, both immediate and long ago memories. We dwel,l on "what ifs" and wish that we could go back and change things.  Why would you want to change even one second in your life? For one second of change could take you on a completely different path and who knows, you might not be where you are TODAY. You might not be free from worry because you have so much faith in Jesus.  You might not have the family you have nor the love that emanates from that bond with them. You might not have the job, the spouse, the brothers and sisters, the entire family. NO, you are exactly where God planned for you to be, and he has ALWAYS been with you, waiting for you to ask him to take you, love and protect you, answer your prayers by His Will, and to send The Holy Spirit to Guide you.

Therefore, give thanks for today. It is a new day and you may begin anew, no matter what happened yesterday or ten years ago.  You belong to Him, and Jesus is with you every step of the way, watching his sheep day and night, waiting to be called by you and to be praised.

Tomorrow isn't here yet, and you know not what tomorrow will bring.  So, why do you worry so over what is yet to be? You know not the plans that God has for you tomorrow. It may be a test in difficulty, or an answer to prayer, or just making your heart bigger in strength and love for His Majesty.  And you know, surely, that living with Jesus and the Father is the happiest existence of all.

Some of you may have always been on the path you are traveling, but I'd bet the number is few. When you were young, your dreams were huge, and you took your mortality and that of those whom you love for granted. Now, if you are older like me, you probably look back and can see how God was always there working in your life, even if you were not acknowledging him.  He brought you to the crossroads and then, the decision was up to you.  If you are here, then you made the only right choice - the narrow road versus the wide road.

My brothers and sisters, we are all walking hand-in-hand on a narrow path. There are a great many of us, too many to be overtaken by evil in this world. The earth beneath our bare feet is cool and soft, and we are following some footsteps, the ones belonging to Jesus who went before us. I am so happy to know that when I reach the end of this path, Jesus will be there to greet me with his arms wide open.  He will hug and we will exchange "I love you's".  What happens next is unknown, but suffice to say, this world and its troubles will be forgotten, erased from our souls, and we will be introduced into a new, eternal life that is more beautiful tha we could ever possibly imagine.

As John Lennon once said (about how happy he was), "I haven't had lunch yet, and I just can't wait to see what's for dinner!"  Of course, this is metaphorical, but it certainly fits, doesn't it?

We are living with so much love around us and every day is so new and different that none of us can wait to see what is coming next!  Praise be to Jesus for being our confidante, listening to our prayers, and dying for  the Salvation of everyone, but you must go TO HIM, he will not beg you to come, but will wish that you would, Praise be to God, our creator and protector and confidante, and for suffering through the agony of his Son, Jesus on the cross for the forgiveness of ALL sins.  God has given us all chance after chance.  Seize it and hold onto it; your salvation depends on it.

Have a beautiful and blessed week.  I am always here for those who need prayer. May I add your name to my book?

Understanding What a Catholic Church Really Is...

Have we thought carefully about what a Catholic Church is?  It is the Royal Palace of the Greatest King who ever was and ever will be, the Son of Almighty God, who stays present there for us in order to be our dearest friend and consoler?  This Almighty and Eternal King also allows His Priests to renew the Greatest Act in all of human history: The Crucifixion of the Son of God is mystically renewed at each Mass in this Palace, which act of Love saved us from eternal separation from God.  This same Infinite God loves us so intimately that He allows us to partake of Him as real spiritual food, where God remains within us for 15 minutes!  How is it that so few Catholics revere such a Palace and can find little, if any, time to be present for the greatest event in the history of the world and the greatest Love they will ever receive?

"Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." John 6

Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B
Book of Job 38:1.8-11.
The LORD addressed Job out of the storm and said :
And who shut within doors the sea, when it burst forth from the womb;
When I made the clouds its garment and thick darkness its swaddling bands?
When I set limits for it and fastened the bar of its door,
And said: Thus far shall you come but no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stilled!

Psalms 107(106):23-24.25-26.28-29.30-31.
Some went off to sea in ships, plied their trade on the deep waters.
They saw the works of the LORD, the wonders of God in the deep.
He spoke and roused a storm wind; it tossed the waves on high.
They rose up to the heavens, sank to the depths; their hearts trembled at the danger.

In their distress they cried to the LORD, who brought them out of their peril,
Hushed the storm to a murmur; the waves of the sea were stilled.
They rejoiced that the sea grew calm, that God brought them to the harbor they longed for.
Let them thank the LORD for such kindness, such wondrous deeds for mere mortals.

Second Letter to the Corinthians 5:14-17.
Brothers and sisters: The love of Christ impels us, once we have come to the conviction that one died for all; therefore, all have died.
He indeed died for all, so that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
Consequently, from now on we regard no one according to the flesh; even if we once knew Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no longer.
So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 4:35-41.
On that day, as evening drew on, Jesus said to his disciples: "Let us cross to the other side." Leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat just as he was. And other boats were with him. A violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was already filling up.

Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. They woke him and said to him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Quiet! Be still!" The wind ceased and there was great calm.

Then he asked them, "Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?"

They were filled with great awe and said to one another, "Who then is this whom even wind and sea obey?"

My Dear Ones,

I have considered what is on my heart for some time, and have wanted to impart my feelings to you all, especially all of the beautiful Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ that I have met on Twitter. I am deeply moved by your love for Jesus Christ, the inspiration of your words, the prayers you generously offer, the love and care that we all share for one another. My prayer is that I might create a greater love and desire in each of you to live The Word of God contained in the greatest book in history, The Holy Bible. It is a story that has and will serve all the ages. You will find your path to salvation, your burdens will be lifted, your fears will be relieved, and you will experience a love that will transcend beyond anything you have ever imagined. The TRUTHS written over 2,000 years ago will bring inside you a sense that they were written just for YOU! The Holy Bible is God's Amazing Grace. It is a tremendous gift to all Mankind. It is your map to Salvation.

Make it a part of your daily prayer time to read some of The Bible. Whether you read 1 page or 10, (and I read in no particular order), I have FAITH that your heart will still be touched by The Holy Spirit and he will be your guide for life.  You are never alone - God is keeping you under his protective wing and Jesus Christ is right there beside you. BELIEVE!

I pray you will enjoy the Amy Grant video below. I love you, you are all inside my heart.

In Praise & Glory, Jesus Christ, Savior of all, I pray,

I would like to thank my dear friend, Viola, for providing the inspiration for today's blog piece.

Matthew 6:1-6(KJV)

Do Good to Please God

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

The Model Prayer

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Matthew 6:16-18 (KJV)

Fasting to Be Seen Only by God

16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

If today's Gospel is new to you, then, where have you been.  The very basic, but extremely important premise of the Gospel today is that everything we do on this earth is observed by God. And it is only God whom we want most to observe our lives with favor.

Doing good deeds for others is a wonderful, giving gesture. But if you turn around and brag to your friends and family about what you did, it falls short in God's eyes. He is pleased that you were generous in spirit, but disappointed that you wanted everyone to say to you "Oh, that was so kind of you! You're such a good person!",  just to make you feel good and impress them.

Whom do you want to impress the most? These people on earth or you God in heaven who will show you many gifts and favor for what you have done?

No man or woman can give you the gifts of eternal life as Jesus Christ and God can. So many people feel the need for public recognition of every good deed they do. Apparently, they lack recognition someplace else in their lives and this validation makes them feel needed and well-liked.  But one can be needed and be well-liked without bragging about a good deed you have done for someone.  Whenever I do something good for someone, I am almost embarrassed if they thank me.  I do not want thanks; I just want them to be happy. And when it is all said and done, I leave with a smile on my face and a song in my heart that my Lord God and Savior have witnessed this good deed and I feel from above the love and happiness that I have brought to them.

I do not understand the concept of one wanting to pray their most private thoughts and feelings in the presence of others. There are many things that I share with God that nobody but He and I know! As we pray together in church during Mass, this is good and it is right! We are praising God and Jesus Christ!  We are revering and honoring them with our praise for all that they have done for us. BUT, do you really want others to know your innermost private conversations with heaven? I do not!! This scripture will resonate within you when you begin to pray in private with no television, no radio, no other voices - just yours and God's intimate conversation. And trust me, it is so well worth it!  And this too, is very pleasing to God, that you would take the time to come alone and be with him and share you hopes, needs and gratitude, not to forget your love for him! And for Jesus Christ!

Fasting is something that has been followed through the ages.  It is an honor placed before God, a reverence and a sacrafice that you can easily make for Christ and God.  But you do not go about saying "I fasted today so I'm really hungry!"  No, no!  Fasting is your private gift to Christ and to God. It is a showing a gratitude for all that they have done for you. It is not something that you brag about; that is dreadful!  And you'll earn no points in heaven if you engage in this activity. It's another personal problem of the need to show others what you feel you have done that is good.  You might cause yourself to be worrisome to others!

Proverbs 17:28 (KJV)
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

All Christians' primary goal is to get to heaven and live a life in God's Kingdom for all eternity.  The Bible contains many examples of what is pleasing to God and what is not. Hold fast to what you read there. You do not need people to praise you; if they recognize the good in you themselves, wouldn't you rather have that than to have to solicit it by bragging? I would think it so.

God bless each and every one of you who come here!

Lovingly in Jesus Christ,

In 2003, an acquaintance from our former church who had moved across town to the area where we live and attended the same church as we do was diagnosed with a Grade IV Gioblastic Astrocytoma brain tumor.  She was just turning 39 years old and had three children she and her husband were raising. Her name was Cathy, and I adored her and felt so awful for what she was going through, but she never ceased to smile and be friendly. She acted as if nothing was amiss. Even when the enormous amounts of steroids were pumped into her and she bloated to the point of me seeing my husband wave and I asked "who was that?" and he answered, "that's Cathy", it grieved me.  I was heartbroken.  She never waivered in her faith, she loved the Lord so, so much and she would pray so reverently and for so long, I could  only imagine what her prayers were. She, her husband and 3 children said the Rosary every night before bed right up until the day she died. I was awestruck by this selfless act of reverence toward our Holy Mother.

Cathy had done it all RIGHT! She was a devout Catholic, devoted mother and wife, a trusted and loyal friend and she loved her entire extended family very much. She battled for 2 1/2 years before she succumbed to the cancer. I remember going over to see her with my husband a few months prior to her death. She had been getting occupational therapy and had learned to paint her nails.  She kept calling me by my husband's former wife's name, and then apologizing profusely when her husband corrected her. I didn't want apologies, but that was Cathy. She had always had beautiful, painted nails. It was a signature of Cathy's. When visiting, she was wheelchair-bound by that time, and a lift had been installed on their stairs to get her upstairs to their bedroom. I was devastated when that call came that she had passed on to Heaven. I was heartbroken at her funeral Mass. I cried over losing such a beautiful, young flower, such a brave soldier in the army of Christ.  Her patron saint was St. Therese of Liseux, Little Flower of Jesus, and so, for the last 9 years, St. Therese has been by my side.  I know that Cathy is with Jesus and every now and then, I ask St. Therese to tell Cathy that I have been thinking of her and that I miss her. I know the message is getting to her.

My interest in my faith increased ten-fold. Cathy had inspired me to be a better person, to be more generous of heart, more kind and loving of others, about the importance of salvation in one's life. And then, two years ago, a man happened into my life from Twitter. He had only gotten on there for a couple of days just to see what it was about.  He lives in England with his wife of many years, and we began to Skype.  Just today after Skyping, he wrote the nicest note to me thanking me, of all people, for the last 2 years. He is, without a doubt, my best friend on this earth. He has listened to me go about telling the story of my life and crying about this and that in my PAST, to the present of leaving my past behind, and we began having long discussions about nothing but Jesus Christ and God, and The Word.  He has been my greatest influence, and we both know that we were brought together for a reason.  There are many things which must be kept between the two of us, as we believe that is how God wants it.

He stays after me about writing here because, well, because it is my calling to bring more souls to Christ, and I take it quite seriously, and he takes it even more seriously.  He has been a teacher and a good friend, and I get a lot of my ideas for my blog just from talking with him.

I now think good before bad, I don't take gossip to heart, I don't cry all the time, I don't worry and that's a big one!  God saved me from myself, but He waited nearly a lifetime for me to come TO HIM.  God is not going to beg you to come, have Faith and follow His Word, and to recognized his Son's crucifixion to wash away our sins forever.  Before Christ, God was very strict and his laws were short, and simple, and completely staggering if you didn't follow them.  People lived in fear of God instead of loving him, some not even believing in him. People were not trusting his decisions about their lives, being pleased by our praise of him and his Son.  If not for Jesus Christ, God would still be an angry God, denying more and more souls entry into heaven.

In the last six months or so, I "get it", I mean, I REALLY get it.  I've tried all that is said to be the right way and they have worked every time.  Jesus is my friend, The Holy Spirit lives within me, and God, this beautiful creator of all, is first in my life.  I worked very hard on FORGIVENESS, but it finally came. I worked VERY HARD on truly GIVING a problem to Him and then forgetting about it. Example: I gave something to him 4 years ago, and I went for a while and I cried out to him, "why won't you answer me?"  I did this off and on until about a year ago.  I met an Angel in the waters of the beach and her inspiration caused a huge stir in my soul.  I am now sitting back and watching God's plan for my problem unfold. It doesn't all change all at once, no way. This is why we cannot understand how God thinks. He has plans that are working through to touch many people, not just the one I prayed about.  This life is changing for the better, bit by bit, and knows where it is coming from! That's the best part!

I live in a state of Gratitude, for I have a wonderful life, a great and trusted friendship that is based on God's Word, a beautiful blended family, and I wake up happy. I no longer cry about my prayers, but TRUST Him explicitly.  I have witnessed it, and I know it to be true.  God loves us more than we love ourselves. The thing is, giving your heart over to him and trusting him. Living what the Bible teaches and it is far and long! And Amazing Grace!

If you don't change your heart after having read this truth from someone who has experienced it herself, then I will pray for you, every day, until you give yourself to Jesus Christ and our Father God. You'll know Amazing Grace when you see it and feel it, and then, you know you have come a very long way to the right place where you will stay for the rest of your days.

God bless all who come here+++

I read this this morning and felt it was an awesome reflection on what Jesus did, why he is still not accepted by many today, and how he has washed away our sin giving us a chance to eternal life! I pray you will enjoy reading it and that it will touch your heart as thousands of things about Jesus have touched the heart of every Christian in the world.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
-Luke 4:18  (KJV)

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

Jesus had been teaching the good news of the gospel of the kingdom to the lost sheep of the house of Israel for over a year. God’s kingdom had finally arrived for He was indeed the promised King of Israel, who will one day sit upon the throne of His father David. Jesus was the prophesised Jewish Messiah and Saviour of the whole world, Who will one day bring in His eternal kingdom – for He is King of kings, Lord of lords and God incarnate.
Throughout His life Jesus had regularly attended this very synagogue, and for over a year He had been healing the sick, casting out demons and teaching that the time of God’s favour had come to His chosen people.
He alone could proclaim: the Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour – the Sabbatical year of Jubilee, when all debt will be cancelled and all slaves will be set free.
But despite His gracious words, inspiring teaching and multiple miracles.. the people did not believe that the local carpenter’s son could be their long awaited Messiah – and so He was not able to do many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
But how like the world in which we live today, where Jesus is hailed as a great teacher; a moral man; a charismatic character; a good influence; a person to be emulated and a even prophet from God. But when hailed as God incarnate; the resurrected Son of Man; the only Way to Father, the non-negotiable Truth; the singular One through Whom alone we can receive eternal Life and the righteous Judge, (before Whom every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Him as Lord) – He is despised and scorned, derided and rejected.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Yet by grace through faith in Him our sins have been washed as white as snow and we have been forever forgiven of our sin, adopted into God’s family; placed into the Body of Christ and reconciled to the Father.
By grace through faith in Him we have been redeemed by our kinsman-Redeemer and received our new life in-Christ. We have been in-dwelt by the Holy Sprit;  received a heavenly citizenship and are now living stones that are being built up into the very dwelling place of the living God.
Praise God that He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to preach the gospel to the poor; to heal the broken-hearted; to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind. Praise God that Jesus set at liberty those who are bruised – and proclaimed the year of the Lord’s favour to all who by faith have trusted in Him. May we abide in Him and He in us until He comes to take us to be with Himself.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I stand amazed that You should love me so much that You sent the Lord Jesus to be my Saviour.. to be wounded on my account; to die a cruel death on my behalf and rise again the third day, so that by grace through faith in Him I have been redeemed from the pit; healed of my wounds; set free from slavery to sin; given a new life in Christ and found my rest in Him. May I live My life in humble dependence upon You day by day, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

This Day's Thought from The Ranch
Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a permanent attitude.
Martin Luther King

This Day's Verse
Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.  Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.  Glory ye in his holy name:  let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
1 Chronicles 16:8-10
The King James Version

How true, how true! I cannot say enough about the ability to be forgiving on a constant level. In my case, I began to forgive here and there, if they were people I really was close to and didn't want to lose them in my life.  Then as I went through conversion and read many things of The Bible, I knew what God wanted me to do, but could I do it? Well I was sure going to try!

There are so many dynamics to being a part of a family and also having friends. Families are notorious for having conflicts, and it seems that they are the most difficult to get past, to forgive whatever needs forgiving. I'm going to tell you this: Whether the other person responds kindly or negatively, you must forgive them.  Their attitude is their own to deal with and you cannot waste your life on trying to change people, except by example!  Friends are the same way.  Sometimes both take some time to get over the hurts, etc., but most usually come around, and by your example you have taught them about forgiveness. Perhaps now they will think about that.  Friendly and giving people leave a better and more lasting memory in your mind.

The verse above leads me to my protestant friends as well as my Catholic friends.  One reason I chose Catholicism as my choice of faith and converted into The Church was because The Mass impressed me so much even though I didn't really understand it.  I followed the Missal, but I did not realize until years after my conversion that the Mass consisted primarily of prayers, both sung and spoken. Then there are the readings DIRECTLY FROM the Bible, and a homily (or sermon) on the readings, the Gospel and the Psalms (sung).

The Mass has always felt so very holy and reverent to our Lord and Savior and to the Father and Holy Spirit.  It brings it all together in perfect harmony with one another. And I really loved that the Virgin Mary was given reverence; she did, after all, bring Jesus into this world, is and always will be his Mother.  She sits at his right hand on her throne in Heaven and she CARES deeply for all of us on earth.  In fact, the reason I became a Disciple for Christ is because Mother asked it of me. How can I deny her. I didn't know the path I would be taking would grow and grow and be so fulfilling!

I am so happy in Jesus, feel safe under God's wing, and The Holy Spirit lives in my heart and serves as my guide.  I might want to give that International Finger back to that driver who disrespected me with such vulgarity, but something speaks to me and says "No, you're not like that. You are better than that and it would be a stain on your soul."

Sing of the Lord to your heart's content, God loves it; praise Jesus and God every day, they love it; proclaim his word whenever a situation calls for it; it is pleasing unto God and all of these, God says, "with you, my son/daughter, I am well pleased."  The main person at the top of the list that you need to please is God! That is how it has always been, since the beginning of time. This is His world that He created; it belongs to Him, not to you or anyone else!

If Jesus came down on that cloud surrounded by his angels today, I would be elated to see Him and because He would take me to the Father.

Peace be with you and all have a very safe weekend. I shall be traveling - UGH!

Peace be with you!
Let's pray that we might have hearts that are more and more conformed to Jesus'.
Let's pray that we may have more loving hearts - that we may be like Christ in loving selflessly. That we may love others as much as Christ loves us.
And with the novena coming to a close, if your prayers have been answered, please leave a comment HERE to let everyone know!

Day 8 - The Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.”
Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of…
(Mention your Intention Here)
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of…

Hail Mary…

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of…

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be to the Father…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours.
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Pray for us O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.
