PRAYER FOR ALL SAINTS DAY TORROW

Peace be with you!

November 1st is All Saints Day! This solemnity is a day that we honor all the saints -- known & unknown!

It is a holy day of obligation, but because it falls on a Saturday this year, the obligation to attend mass is abrogated -- at least in the United States. That means it's not required to go to mass. However, it may be different in your diocese or country.

Then, November 2nd is All Souls Day! But because it falls on a Sunday this year, it is transferred to the following day, Monday, November 3rd. This day commemorates all the faithful departed and poor souls in purgatory. It is not a holy day of obligation in the United States -- but again, this may be different in your diocese or country.

To celebrate All Saints Day and to remember all the poor souls in purgatory, please join us in praying these two prayers.

Prayer for All Saints Day
Dear God, thank you for the example of the Saints.
I desire to join in their company, worshiping you forever in Heaven.
Please help me follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ.
Please help me to conform myself to Your image, seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did.
Please help me to devote myself, and all that I do, to Your glory, and to the service of my neighbors.
Amen.

Optional: The Litany of the Saints

Prayer for All Souls Day -- the Prayer of St. Gertrude
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family.
Amen.
Thank you for praying with us!

We are praying for you, and will announce the next novena soon!

God bless you!

OUR LORD TO ELIZABETH KINDELMANN

By virtue of My Divine Blood you can be divinized....If only you accepted to become divine, I would find My joy in you and live with you...After receiving My Precious (Body) and Blood, examine your soul and become aware of the exhilaration that the power of My Precious Blood brings about in you.  Do not be so insensitive (when you are to receive Holy Communion).  Do not let routine lead you up to My Holy Table, but rather the fervor of sacrificial charity, which ignites through contact with My Love!  Through Me, if you remain united to Me, the Sacrament will burn sin out of your soul!

OUR LADY'S MESSAGE TO MARIJA

Today, October 25, 2014, Our Lady appeared to the visionary Marija and delivered the following message:

"Dear children! Pray in this time of grace and seek the intercession of all the saints who are already in the light. From day to day may they be an example and encouragement to you on the way of your conversion. Little children, be aware that your life is short and passing. Therefore, yearn for eternity and keep preparing your hearts in prayer. I am with you and intercede before my Son for each of you, especially for those who have consecrated themselves to me and to my Son. Thank you for having responded to my call."

IMPERFECT?

God expects more failure from us than we do from ourselves because God knows who we are.  We are not the righteous person who occasionally sins, we are the sinful person who occasionally- by God’s grace- gets it right.  When we start from this perspective we are released from the bondage of perfectionism and are able to forgive ourselves once and for all.  We are to take our cue from him.  We may be disappointed with ourselves but God is not.  We may feel like condemning ourselves, but God does not.

James Bryan Smith

~*~

This is a pretty profound thought! And you know what they say about perfectionists? That they are unhappy 95% of their lives because they cannot achieve perfection in everything that they do.

It's okay to try and do better and be a better person each day, but don't put too many expectations on yourself.  You must accept failure as human.  The only perfect ones are Jesus Christ and God, Himself.  And He loves you and forgives you, flaws and all, every day.  He does not expect you to be perfect; he knows you too well.  What he does expect is a decent effort each day to live in a Christian way, to pray to him and to ask forgiveness, and to accept your faults just as he does.

If one does not accept their own faults, oh, what misery!  I would protest that thou thinketh too much of oneself instead of living life in the best way possible.

In two words:  Be good.  That's all you can do.  Be the best that you can be, do the best that you can do, and that's all that anyone can ask of you, even God.  Because God expects your failures and sins and that is something that everyone must grasp in order to live a more fulfilling life.

That is where prayer comes in.  It is good to pray for others always, but don't forget yourself.  You deserve prayer, too!  Pray that God forgives your sins and helps you to not commit the same ones again!  He loves you even more when you come to him and ask His forgiveness.  This is acknowledgment to the inth degree, and only God, Christ, The Holy Spirit and our Holy Mother Mary deserve that much.  See that they receive it from you regularly and you will be a happier person for having done so.

Lovingly in Christ,
Abbey

First, Happy Feast Day of St. John Paul II!

Here are the prayers for today:
Day 4 - St Jude Novena

O St. Jude, holy Apostle, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, you are honored and petitioned by the universal Church, as the patron of desperate, hopeless and impossible cases. Pray for me. I am so very helpless and I feel alone.
Intercede for me that Almighty God may bring swift aid where it is needed most. Come to my assistance in my great time of need!
Pray for me that I may be given the comfort and help of Jesus. Most importantly, I ask that you pray that I may one day join you and all of the saints in heaven to praise God in consolation, rest and joy for all eternity.
I will remember your prayers, O Holy St. Jude. I will honor you as my patron as so many have before me because of the graces God deigns to give freely at your request.
Amen.
Saint Jude, Jesus called you to be one of His chosen and beloved apostles. With God’s calling, you labored to bring men to a knowledge and love of God. Please listen with compassion to my prayers and grant your intercession.

TODAY'S THOUGHT AND VERSE

This Day's Thought from The Ranch
We all long for heaven where God is, but we have it in our power to be in heaven with Him right now- to be happy with Him at this very moment.  But being happy with Him now means loving like He loves, helping like He helps, giving as He gives, serving as He serves, rescuing as He rescues, being with Him twenty-four hours a day- touching Him in His distressing disguise.
Mother Teresa

This Day's Verse
The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked.  He hates those who love violence.

Psalm 11:5
The New Living Translation

THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO

There are so many things to be said about faith that it would take weeks or years describing them all according to His Word.

But FIRST, you must BELIEVE in Him completely.  No doubts, nor questions of what if. He IS and the Bible described the Angel that came to Mary to tell her of God's decision to gift her with carrying his mortal child.  This child, Jesus, was born and raised in his Family's Faith. The Bible tells us so.  He was beaten brutally and crucified so that we all shall have eternal life!  This the Bible also tells us.  This book, the biggest selling book of all time, has survived for over 2,000 years.  It has many authors, but it is all about one thing, and two people.  It is about your salvation, and about Jesus Christ and God. It is a world of readings that even I confess that I must read only a couple of pages a day and put it down and absorb what I have learned.  It is also filled with prophecy. It prophesied your denial of God and what would happen to you; it tells of things to come which are already happening on this earth; yet, it gives each of us tremendous hope, faith and courage to face any adversity in our lives, or the faith to know that we can say a prayer to ourselves throughout our day and God will hear us and come to our aid. It is an amazing, true story of the beginning of time, one that everyone needs to read. Have you read your Bible today?

God works tirelessly to try and answer all the prayers of the world. Can you imagine it? No. It is mind-boggling!  But God is so great, there is nothing that passes Him unnoticed.  Not the smallest infraction of His Commandments will pass Him without his dealing with it.

The same goes for your prayers to our Glorious Savior and our Lord God.  Your prayers are heard; BELIEVE IT!  And if you believe in Him, you will actually, physically feel his presence in your time of prayer. You may do like me and lift your hands to the sky; you may cry with joy, whatever you do, Praising God and Believing in him means everything to your personal Salvation.

You cannot half-heartedly say a memorized prayer each night and turn and go to sleep without fully praising Him.  Do you think He is going to choose your prayer to answer first if it was not from your heart?

You cannot attend church on Sunday, go through the motions without truly investing ALL of yourself into the Mass, then walk out the doors and the first words out of your mouth are gossip or cursing.  Yes, I've seen it.  I've seen men stand on the steps to the church after Mass chatting and cursing in the very presence of God. It is shameful and again, it will not go unnoticed by God.

Many, many things will be logged into each of our Book of Life and when our time comes, we will face Almighty God and he will turn the pages and he will ask us questions about the things that we did in human life and that is when we will answer for them.  Oh, I can see my book now!  It is full of my young years, but in my middle age forth, it is full of good things that have come from my complete faith in Him. And there will be many entries about Forgiveness.

Tell me, how do you literally GIVE your child to God because you cannot deal with how they are ruining their lives, and then have the FAITH and BELIEF that God will deal with it, and therefore, you let go of it and not worry about it any longer?  I have that faith.  I have given over many matters to God and I have asked him to please handle them for me for I am at a loss as to what else I can do.  God took them from me, but only because he knew that my faith is strong and great, and my love for Him surpasses all others.  I live a much happier life since I let go of my troubles and gave them to God. No, he doesn't mind you putting these things on him, He WANTS you to do this, which shows just how much faith you have in him.  Oh what peace living under his protective wing!

My faith tells me that I may not receive an answer in a day, or a week, or even months, but I KNOW that God will answer me.  He has many things for millions of people that he is slowly working them through so that the people come out of the tunnel new and renewed in their faith.  That is what I am waiting for, the time when these that I have given to him come out of that long tunnel of darkness renewed and full of love, hope and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and our Lord God; in the heavens and faith that this is truly going to be a magnificent new life for them.

~*~

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

~*~
Everyone, think about what I have said and also the above scripture.
Think about your own relationship with Christ and God.
Is it strong or half-hearted? Maybe you need to change
just a little or a whole lot, but I'm telling you that
I KNOW that your faith and how you live it is crucial
to your eternal life.

Lovingly in Christ,
Abbey

JOHN 14:27

Thank you, St. Therese. I love you

Lord, grant us the Grace of a pure, loving and kind heart:
Where there is hate, change it to love:
Where there is hunger, bring nourishment,
Where there is animosity and hatred,
grant the Grace of Forgiveness;
Where there is loneliness, send your Word;
Where there is any need,
Grant it in your infinite love & mercy.
Amen.

THIS 'N THAT

I have found silence to be a powerful element in prayer.  To learn to be alone with God even in the presence of others is something we Christians should try to do.  There are innumerable times during the day when we can turn our thoughts, even for a moment, from business affairs and center them on God’s goodness, Christ’s love, our fellow man’s needs.

~J. C. Penney

~*~

Mr. Penny has a good point. I can sit outside with nothing but the sounds of nature and pray as long as I want, to my own heart's content. But when I get around others, I find it difficult to concentrate on Christ and our Father, God.

This is most disturbing when I enter the Sanctuary of the Church where Christ is present and there are those already there who are talking out loud as if they were trying to talk in a hailstorm.  It unnerves me and I sometimes become so agitated and I turn and look at them hoping that the expression on my face says "quiet!"

But my efforts are usually in vain as they continue to talk amongst themselves until the bell rings for Mass to begin.  It's a large church so perhaps I should consider sitting on the other side of the church, which is not my preference, but I could at least sit there until right before Mass begins and then move to the pew where my family is sitting. My point in mentioning this AGAIN is that perhaps Mr. Penny has a valid argument in learning to pray when others are around.  I prefer my deep conversations with our Lord to be in the quiet, but if I must tolerate a few before Mass when I am trying to focus on the body and blood of Jesus Christ in my prayers, preparing myself for the Mass, then I will do what Jesus would do.  My best. That's all anyone can do.

On another note, I want to reiterate Our Lady's messages of the last few months.  In her September 25, 2014 message she asks "Do you not recognize that all of this that is around you, all that is happening is because there is no love?"  And in a piece of her message: " My dear children, do you not recognize the signs of the times? Do you not recognize that all of this that is around you, all that is happening, is because there is no love? Comprehend that salvation is in true values."

I'm going to leave you with that bold text above to interpret as you will. I have my own interpretation, but it is you who should decide what Our Lady's intent is and what this statement means to the world as a whole, because after all, her Son, Jesus Christ, told her that she is the Mother of the World.

I feel it is a time when disciples in Christ must be working earnestly for their salvation, but also for the salvation of souls who do not know Christ.  Do your work with enthusiasm and love in your heart.  Be kind and gentle.  Trust that God will show you the way and give you the words if you need to speak.  I think if you trust in Him, you will be surprised at the outcome of these many opportunities to bring souls to Christ!

Lastly, please offer up your prayers for a dear Sister in Christ, Debulyn, who had a bad accident last week and even though her body is on the mend, she is very weak and mentally, not in a good place. I would very much appreciate your prayers for this darling woman. She is devoted to our Lord Jesus and God Almighty and to her brothers and sisters in Christ on Twitter.  Get well soon, my loving sister. We all love you very much and look forward to when you are feeling better.

Lovingly in Christ,
Abbey

WRITER'S BLOCK??

I seem to have run aground.  My boat had been floating along very well in spiritually nourishing waters for some time now. I found topics for this blog easily and The Holy Spirit guided my thoughts and my hands in my writing.  Suddenly I feel bone dry.  Why?

I am human, so I am going to confess to you all that I also possess human failings just as you do.  The human failing that has run my boat aground is due to not giving sufficient attention to prayer!  I know that this is the answer to my question of "why?" when I am sitting at my computer trying to will the subject and the words to come.

Our lives always run in ebbs and flows and it happens to all of us.  We get busy and before we know it, we're saying short prayers before bed, the Our Father and Hail Mary and then a few "please look after so-in-so, protect my family, Amen."  NOT sufficient!

Jesus is waiting for each of us to sit and spend some time with him, not just praying, but talking to him as if you were talking to your best friend (incidentally, He IS your best friend!).  He wants you to share your highs and lows, your ins and outs, everything about your life and how you feel about it.  He doesn't just want to hear you ask for healing for friends or just protection, He wants a real relationship with you, just like the ones you have on earth.

Do you believe that when you get to heaven, there will be no conversation?  What kind of place would God build for you, and you, and you, and me where we would not converse with loved ones, renewing ourselves with them?  I have my own vision of heaven, as each of us does, but I feel safe in saying that I don't think you believe that you will not greet your grandmother or grandfather with open and joyful arms and they you in return, followed by much conversation!

So what about Christ and our Father, God?  They are the two most important people in heaven, and unlike The White House (pun intended), they are just waiting for a good conversation with you, and they want to talk with you every day, not just today.

So you see, I have answered my own question, right?  Appointments, not feeling well, a show I just couldn't miss (although it records automatically) - I allowed earthly things to get into the way of the tremendously rewarding conversations I had been having with heaven for the last several months. And thus, why would The Holy Spirit help me with my writing?  I began writing my best friend this morning and telling him that nothing was coming, that I've a bad case of writer's block. Yeah right!  A little light came on in my head that said "where have you been? I've missed you!"  And that's how I came to be here, writing this piece.

Please, never become lackadaisical in your time of prayer and conversation with Christ and our Father, God.  You will suddenly find a hollow place in your heart and in your stomach where they belong.  They are with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so how can you not give them an hour a day.  How can I not give them an hour a day.  Practice what you preach, Abbey! I intend to do just that.

I have enjoyed the Spring and Summer where I could sit outside and listen to nature and open my heart fully to Christ and God.  Now that it's getting cooler, I will have to spend a few months indoors and I will need to find a spot in my house where I can go regularly and find my conversation flowing as it should.  Perhaps it will be sitting on a chair, looking out the window instead of being outside.  Whatever the case, I would hope to not falter in my prayer time, but I am human, and there are human failings, but I am so happy that there is FORGIVENESS and immediate acceptance back into the fold. Thanks be to God!

God bless you,
Abbey
