Today, September 25, 2012, Our Lady appeared to the visionary Marija and delivered the following message:
"Dear children! When in nature you look at the richness of the colors which the Most High gives to you, open your heart and pray with gratitude for all the good that you have and say: ‘I am here created for eternity’ – and yearn for heavenly things because God loves you with immeasurable love. This is why He also gave me to you to tell you: ‘Only in God is your peace and hope, dear children’. Thank you for having responded to my call."

When I arose this morning, I was so very depressed.  My knee surgery is still healing and somehow another injury to my back is plaguing me.  I have been so for lorn.  One thing heals and another malady appears. I try to think of our Prayer for the Sick:

O God, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realize that they are chosen to be saints, and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
I focus on these words:  "patience" "chosen to be saints" "joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world".

Patience is not a virtue for which I am known, but if God asks this of me, I will give it my all.

Chosen to be a saint? What a magnificent thing - being CHOSEN by God!

Suffering as Christ suffered for the world?  I can only try, but I will give it my all.  I try to compare my sufferings with those of Jesus and there is just no comparison. It is quite humbling.

Today, I pray for God's healing power in my body and mind, for God to guide my son through his life, for my kids' father who had a minor stroke recently, that he can learn peace and calm in his surroundings.

For my mother, who continues to work toward progress in walking since her stroke nearly two years ago.  For my sweet Daddy who cares for her; he needs strength and he takes such good care of mother.

For my daughter, many blessings for being such a beacon of God's light to everyone who knows her.

For peace in my home and in my mind, for my husband's patience and love.  I am so thankful for him and all of my family members.

Try to have a simple talk with God the moment you wake.  It will begin your day in the best of ways.

Vivat Jesus,

This Day's Thought

I am not what I ought to be,
I am not what I wish to be,
I am not what I hope to be;
but, by the grace of God,
I am not what I was.

This Day's Verse
And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

Dear Friend of CV,

Obama is now leading in the polls -- with Catholic voters!
Obama is radically pro-abortion and has endorsed same-sex 'marriage.' His HHS mandate will bury every Catholic school, hospital and soup kitchen in an avalanche of fines if they dare to have a health care plan in harmony with Catholic teaching on the dignity of the human person.

And yet a Gallup Poll has Obama at 47% with Catholics, compared to 45% for Romney.

We can't understand why any Catholic would vote for Obama.
But don't despair over these numbers. After all, Romney was leading with Catholic voters last month. The numbers are close and we can turn them around with prayer and hard work. This poll is our wake up call. Talk to family, friends and fellow parishioners about what's at stake in this election.

Many of you have asked us to compile a comparison of the candidates on the issues which matter most to Catholics.

The Research Team went to work and pored through the public statements and positions of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

We believe the choice is clear: Catholics should vote for Mitt Romney for President.

When compiling the records of the presidential candidates, we have life, marriage and religious liberty at the top of the list because these issues are foundational. And on life, marriage and religious liberty, Mitt Romney is immeasurably better than Barack Obama.

Dear Friend of CV, Are your friends registered to vote?

Did you know that one in five Catholics are not registered to vote? That's 15 million!

Ask yourself: Are any of my friends or family members included in this number?
Our newly designed homepage is completely focused on Election 2012. And it allows you to check the public database to find out if your friends are registered to vote.

If your friend isn't registered, you can immediately send them an email with a link so they can get the forms they need to register to vote.

It all starts at

Because this election is vital, we aren't just registering Catholics online. We're also sending voter registration kits to activists in the field so that we can get even more Catholics registered to vote!

Please also consider a tax-deductible gift of $15 to help us get 25 Catholics registered to vote in this grassroots project.

The Lemon Lady

Sally Mullihan of Coral Springs, Florida decided to take one of the jobs that most Americans are not willing to do.
She applied for a job in a Florida lemon grove but seemed far too qualified for the job. She had a liberal arts degree from the University of Michigan and had worked as a social worker and school teacher.
The foreman frowned and said, "I have to ask you, have you had any actual experience in picking lemons?"
"Well, as a matter of fact, I have! I've been divorced three times, owned 2 Chryslers and I voted for Obama."

THE NOVEMBER VOTE - It's a No-Brainer

"Did Obama Inherit a Mess?"

Facts don't lie ... liberals do!

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen."

Now add this, "Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens."

Think about it when you vote in November !

MEDJUGORJE: September 2, 2012 Message to Mirjana

Today, September 2, 2012, Our Lady appeared to the visionary Mirjana Soldo and delivered the following message:

"Dear children, as my eyes are looking at you, my soul is seeking those souls with whom it desires to be one – the souls who have understood the importance of prayer for those of my children who have not come to know the love of the Heavenly Father. I am calling you because I need you. Accept the mission and do not be afraid, I will strengthen you. I will fill you with my graces. With my love I will protect you from the evil spirit. I will be with you. With my presence I will console you in difficult moments. Thank you for your open hearts. Pray for priests. Pray that the unity between my Son and them may be all the stronger, that they may be one. Thank you."

                                        A Quarter

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet.'

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change ..'

The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?'

'Yes' he replied.

'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'

Watch your thoughts ; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits..
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
